History: The curse had returned, and Akari was one of the unlucky people, if not the most unlucky. She was possessed by a vengeful zodiac spirit, and she was born as the Cat. This wasn't figured out though until they got home and her father tried to hold her. She then transformed into a tiny newborn black kitten. Okay, it wasn't so bad. They thought the kitten was cute. Until they saw her true form. It was grotesque. They had disowned her
immediately.
As Akari grew older, she tried to form bonds with the other members of her family. Her mother would have none of it, her father would ignore it. Her mother would confine her inside, and when she went to school the others seemed to be, okay, but hateful. She made more friends with the humans, and to her bad luck, all the friends she made would be male. She just couldn't get along with girls. Akari didn't mind, she liked the boys, they were fun to be around. She liked the sports and games they played, things they collected, bugs they found and would sometimes eat. When they ate it she just couldn't stop laughing.
Some of the boys would even braid or play with her hair. She always had a good time with them, they would do weird things with her hair, like make horns or a mustache. She loved school, still does. She gave up on being friends with the Sohma's, and just made friends with the normal people, ignoring the burning ache inside of her that yearned to be normal, just like them. Her mother despised this fact. She would even go to the school, yelling at her friends, questioning them on how they can be 'that monster's friend', and then would laugh and remember they didn't know. she'd chase Akari to show them but she ran into the school and the teacher's would stop her mother. After that Akari was always forced to go to the counselor, but never spoke of it.
She'd usually avoid her friends after that for a bit usually, but they'd come again and make her laugh and happy again, eating a bug or playing with her hair. All things come to an end though. A girl that despised Akari actually came over to her, and ripped her bracelet right off. This led to her grotesque transformation. Everyone screamed and ran away.
Eventually everyone's memories were erased, and Akari skipped school for awhile. Her mother laughed straight in her face, pointing as well. Her father didn't even acknowledge it, besides the first time where he beat her for screwing up. 'God' got pissed too, and also had his fair share of punishment against the cat.
Finally she went back to school, and tried to remake friends with the boys, but they looked at her as if she was strange and walked away. They never became friends again. It didn't stop her from the love of school. She just became in sports, like Basketball, Tennis, tried football but that failed, swimming even though she hated it and never did it again, volleyball anyway sport she could. she was the star player in all of them, but never spoke to anyone, only acknowledged them in the game.
About the age of eleven her parents died in a car crash. Never once did she shed tears, nor once did she ever feel sad about their death. She felt, relieved, as if she was released from them, but never told anyone. She ignored what was said about her, and just continued on with life as it was.
Now she's in high school, and has a job to support herself, paying for her school fees and food, not having to rely on the Sohma's anymore. She's made friends with boys again, and a few girls, tomboys or goths. She's more careful than she was back then and now can defend herself with being a black belt in martial arts. She tries to ignore the fact that she's different than everyone.
