Personality: Ryou is quite the mysterious guy. He can seem rude, anti-social, and cold towards others most of the time. But, I mean, wouldn't you be too if your family had been murdered right in front of you? That's what happened to Ryou. As a result, he doesn't talk too often, but seems protective and can get angry easily, if not a little careless at times. He's also aloof and seems distant, only sharing his secrets to the ones he most trusts -- which happen to be only a few spirits that he talks to every now and again. Which, he isn't very fond of, but hey, it has its advantages. So, now, the only real family he might actually have are the spirits that he communicates with. this is how he is most of the time.
However, his mood can shift. When he's in a good mood, Ryou can be cocky and arrogant. He can be teasing and sarcastic, which can sometimes get on others' nerves, but that's him! Seeming funny and perhaps even fun, you would never know he was actually devastated when he's in this mood.
Strengths:
- His Independence
- Staying Under Control
- Urge to protect others
Weaknesses:
- Love
- Her feelings{has a problem expressing/admitting her inner/true feelings}
- His Fury{if he gets angry enough}
- Mention of the incident

History: Ryou has always been intelligent, charming, and basically a good guy, aside from his former arrogance and cockiness which used to cause minor trouble. He had many friends, and he was loved by his parents and little sister. He's always loved the sword his father gave him at the age of 8, and since his father training and teaching him, he has hence mastered the blade. He'd always take walks with his little sister; his pure-hearted, optimistic little sister, Ama, and teach her about the little things in life. And it was his mother that made food for him and taught him to keep trying, and never give up. He had a happy life at one time, yes. But like everything in life -- it didn't last, and was cut short by only one word: Sohma.
One night, while the family was asleep, a member of the Sohma family broke into their house. 13-year-old Ryou awoke, hearing a noise that wasn't quite right, so he grabbed his sword and tip-toed downstairs. The Sohma, with a pearl necklace in their hand and many other jewelry items, hadn't noticed Ryou yet, who was still silently sneaking toward the theif with his sword. The Sohma turned around to face Ryou, smiling mischeviously, and pointed a pistol at the corner. Ryou abruptly came to a halt. There, in that small corner, were his family -- his mother, father, and little sister -- all huddled together, trembling in terror and being kept hostage.
Ryou's face played many emotions, mostly fear and rage as he stared at his family. "Join your loved ones." ordered the Sohma, "You can't just abandon them . . ". Ryou's rage trumped his fear at that very moment. How dare a theif say he would abandon them?! He would do no such thing! And, so Ryou charged at the Sohma, lunging at him with his sword. The Sohma pulled the trigger, and Ryou had stabbed his chest. Unfortunetly, the bullet that had been shot had simitaniously went through each family member, killing all of them in just a moment. It had been that strong . . . that powerful. Just one bullet.
The Sohma turned to Ryou, who was staring wide-eyed in horrid fear and utter shock that his family had just been shot. His gears had stopped turning. All he could think about was that his family was dead. Gone. He fell to his knees, letting go of the sword, trembling in petrification. The Sohma used this opporitunity to pull the sword out of his chest, and escape. The Sohma had lived, and ran away while poor Ryou was left with tear-soaked cheeks as he held Ama in his arms, rocking back and forth.
It wasn't long until the police and perimetics came barging in. Young Ryou wouldn't let go of his dead little sister after the Police repeatedly but gently kept telling him to release her, he was in a terrible state of shock. They finally had to physically pull him away and seperate him from his loss. He watched as the perimetics took the corpses of his family away, off to bury them in the dirt ground and away from him forever.
Not only had Ryou's family died that day, but he had also died -- inside him, the old Ryou had died, and a new distant and rude Ryou took his place. He was going through the stages of depression, and that day he decided that all the Sohmas were murders. Police knew he had no other relatives, so they sent him to live in an orphanage, hoping that he'd somehow become adopted and live a happy life again.
He lived in the orphanage for a year. Other kids and guardians tried to approach him, talk to him, but he was silent and antisocial, only answer questions with no more then 3 words. He would often listen to their conversations and their whispers about what happened, and about the Sohma's who lived in the city. He knew no one would adopt him, and he certainly wasn't going to stay here for 4 more years. No way. So, he packed what little he had, his sword, all money he had inherited, and ran away from the orphanage and set off to look for the Sohmas to take his revenge. A year later, he is wandering the city, looking for the Sohma Residence, or any Sohma he can dispose of.
Ever since his parents and sister were murdered, he's been bent on liberating the world of Murderers. Including the Sohma family -- which he suspects to be Killers since one kiled his family. Especially the Sohma family as he has a hatred for them. He lives in an abandoned cabin in the woods that no one seems to live in anymore, and gets his income by working as a part-time waiter at a resturant. He is mostly out in the city, rescuing others from "Evil-Doers", and plans to completely exterminate the Sohmas so they can never kill anyone or make anyone suffer as much as he has. Just recently, he has learned that he can see and talk to spirits.
Extra~
Anything Else: Well . . . Ryou can see and talk to spirits, which he doesn't necessarily fancy, but he was born with the gift. Another exotic thing is that he is immune to any type of thorn, and that thorns or anything really pointy{pencils, spikes, etc.} cannot harm him -- strange enough, he is rather fond of this immunity, because he is rather fond of thorns{for some odd reason}.
Code Word: Not telling you!~
